Step 1: Removing the old battery

First, remove 11 screws on the bottom cover

Lift the bottom cover-up

Disconnect the battery gently but firmly pull on the plastic tab until the plug comes out of the socket
Remove the left-right speaker

Disconnect the logic board
Separate the trackpad cable adhesive -> Disconnect the trackpad cable

There are 4 screws the battery in that need to be removed

Use a pair of tweezers to lift up the black adhesive pull tab on the side of the battery. Grab the adhesive strip pull tab and slowly and carefully pull the adhesive strip out from under the battery. Repeat the previous step to remove the others adhesive strips of the battery.
